What is S3 Browser?
S3 Browser is a free Windows client for AWS S3 and S3-compatible storage services that can be used to upload and retrieve data stored on S3-compatible cloud services such as OORT Storage.
While S3 Browser is free for personal use. Users who run the application in commercial, business, government, or military institutions, or for any other profit activity must purchase a Pro license.
One license allows you to install S3 Browser on a single computer. Your license can be transferred if you change your PC. License is lifetime and includes one year of free upgrades and support.

If this is your first time opening the app, it will prompt you to add a new account, or you can select the Accounts menu item at the top left of the S3 Browser client. Enter the following configuration settings in the window prompt:
The OORT Storage S3-Compatible API endpoint URL is:
Standard:https://s3-standard.oortech.com
Archive:https://s3-archive.oortech.com
Account name: Enter an account name.
Account Type: S3 Compatible Storage
REST Endpoint: OORT Storage endpoint>
Access Key ID: Enter your OORT Storage Access Key
Secret Access Key: Enter your OORT Storage Secret Key
Within the S3 Browser, you’ll be able to upload files directly to your OORT Storage bucket once you’ve effectively tied in OORT Storage to S3 Browser. Start by selecting which bucket you wish to upload data into by selecting the bucket at the top left. Once you’ve selected your bucket, select the Upload icon. Here, you’ll be prompted to select whether you’d like to upload file(s) or upload folder(s). Following a selection of upload file(s) or upload folder(s) you’ll be prompted with a file navigator to select the file or folder you wish to upload.
Through S3 Browser Within the S3 Browser, you’ll be able to download files directly from your OORT Storage bucket once you’ve effectively tied in OORT Storage to S3 Browser. Start by selecting which Storj bucket you wish to download data from by selecting the bucket at the top left. Once you’ve selected your bucket, select the Download icon. Here, you’ll be prompted to select whether you’d like to download file(s) or download folder(s) Following a selection of download.
