Delete Objects or Buckets

We recommend that you delete any unneeded objects or buckets to avoid additional charges to your account.

Empty buckets before you delete them. You cannot retrieve a bucket or object once it's been deleted.

To continue using the same bucket, empty it or delete its objects, but don't delete the bucket. After you delete a bucket, the name becomes available to reuse. However, another OORT account could create a bucket with the same name before you have a chance to reuse it.

How to delete an object?

To delete an object, simply navigate to the bucket where the object is located and right-click on the object you want to delete. From the dropdown menu, select "Delete" and then confirm the deletion when prompted. The object will be permanently deleted from your account, so be sure to double-check that you have selected the correct object before confirming the deletion.

To delete a bucket, follow a similar process: right-click on the bucket you want to delete, select "Delete," and confirm the deletion when prompted.

Deleting a bucket will also delete all objects stored in that bucket, so be sure to download any objects you want to keep before deleting the bucket.
