How to recover your Identity?

In the process of recoverring your Identity, you need to pay special attention to the following points:

  • "Recover Identity" is only able to restore via Secret recovery phrase. If you only have the private key or keystore, you can refer to "How to import with a private key or through a keystore?" to use the wallet

  • Identity Password equals the "transaction password" for all wallets under this identity

  • Only you know the Identity Password, OORT Wallet can not help you retrieve your password, so please keep it safe

  • The Mnemonic is very important. If you share or lose it, you will lose your assets. Be sure to back up your Mnemonic

To recover the Identity, follow the steps below:

  1. Click “Import a wallet” at the OORT wallet welcome page

  2. Enter secret recovery phrase

  3. Set the “Identity Name” and “Password”

  4. Identity recovery success
